How It Works
Step 1: Add mud + water.
Firstly add around 3cm high of water mud. Soak the mud in water for 1 minute before drying out with a paper towl.
Step 2: Sprinkle Seeds, spray with water and add cling film.
Sprinkle seeds evenly, spray the mud surface wet and add cling film. Poke lots of small holes in the cling film. Then leave in sunlight to grow.
Step 3: Plants have grown! Fill with water + fish.
After about 3 days your plants should sprout and within 5 days it should have enough growth (~3cm) for you to fill your tank with water and fish!
FAQ
No need for a filter. The plants do that and also oxygenation.
Fish produce nitrogen, bacteria cells turn that into nitrates, and plants consume the nitrates leaving the water clean.
Room temperature water is sufficient for most fish.
You should change the water every 7-10 days. We advise using a water exchanger.
When changing the water you can use a wet towl to wipe the inside of the tank. We advise using a water exchanger.
If you are using tap water it is best to leave water to stand for 24 hours to allow any chlorine to evaporate or use a filter jug before pouring into the bowl.
The water grass seeds are a plant call Bacopa Monnieri.
